South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Sue & Geoff's Country Music Campout - Wooroolin
The third (and final) day of the inaugural 3-day "Country Music Campout" will be held at Wooroolin Hall on the Bunya Highway at Wooroolin from 8:30am until late tonight. The event features non-stop walk-up artists and bush poets, and tonight there'll be a big Finale Concert featuring all the best acts running from 6:30pm until late. Admission is just $10 per day. Tea and coffee will be available in the Hall and takeaways and meals are available at the nearby Butcher's Cafe and Grand Hotel. Giant Garage Sale - Kingaroy
The Birds Of A Feather cancer support group will be holding the second (and final) day of a two-day Giant Garage Sale in Kingaroy today to raise funds for the Cancer Council Queensland. The garage sale will start at 7:00am at 28 Arthur Street, Kingaroy, and there will be a wide variety of goods for sale including household items, bric-a-brac, collectibles, plants, cakes and jams, tools, silverware, clothing, crockery, manchester and more - just perfect for bargain-hunters! Flickerfest Short Film Festival - Bell
Western Downs Regional Council will be sponsoring the screening a selection of the best award-winning, creative and uplifting short films shown at the the 30th annual Flickerfest Short Film Festival (held in Bondi earlier this year) at the Bell Memorial Public Hall at 59 Wallace Street, Bell at 7:00pm tonight. The screening is part of a four-site tour that has also seen screenings at Chinchilla, Wandoan and Merandarra and it will be run under COVID-Safe conditions. Colours Of Yarraman Spring Festival
The Yarraman Progress Association's annual Colours Of Yarraman Spring Festival will be held at Station Park at the end of Millar Street, Yarraman from 1:00pm to around 5:00pm this afternoon. This free family fun day will feature a "Mad Hatter's Tea Party", free children's rides and entertainment and live music by Ryza. There'll also be a bar, refreshments and food available in the grounds and everyone is welcome!
Wondai Country Markets
The Wondai Regional Art Gallery's popular monthly Wondai Country Markets will be operating at Coronation Park in Wondai's CBD from 7:00am to 12:00 noon today, with stallholders selling everything from fresh fruit and vegetables through to arts and crafts, useful knick-knacks, foods and clothing. There'll also be live entertainment; lots and lots of other stalls selling great gifts and goodies; and special hand-made treasures from local artisans available from the Art Gallery's "Studio" building just a short stroll across the park. The BBQs will also be firing up from 6:45am to dish out hearty breakfasts for early bargain hunters. New stallholders are always very welcome (stall fees range from $10 with power and water available, if needed) and you can obtain more details by phoning the Wondai Regional Art Gallery on (07) 4168-5926.
Music In The Shed - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Chorale will be holding a "Music In The Shed" fundraising concert for Sistas In Sync at Hopevale Farm at 15857 D'Aguilar Highway (just south of Kingaroy) at 4:00pm this afternoon. For $25 per head, guests can enjoy a glass of wine and a platter of food on arrival, followed by a concert in Hopevale's historic surrounds, a silent auction and a live auction. Nanango Mini Market
The Nanango Mini Market, which runs on the 4th Saturday of each month (except January) outside the Churchyard Opp Shop at the corner of Drayton and Burnett Streets in Nanango, will be running from 7:00am to around noon this morning. Apart from offering great bargains at great prices - ranging from plants to craft work, DVDs, bric-a-brac, glassware, books, jewellery, photographic work and mosaic art - the markets also have a $2 sausage sizzle, $1.20 soft drinks ($2 for a coke) and gold coin donation tea and coffee if you get peckish. South Burnett Rugby League Presentations - Wondai
The South Burnett Rugby League will be holding its 2021 end of season presentations at the Wondai Football Fields off the Bunyas Highway north of Wondai's CBD from 4:00pm onwards this afternoon. All clubs and all players (including juniors) are invited to attend, and a bar and BBQ will be in operation as well.
Murgon Men's Shed
The Murgon Men's Shed will be holding a meeting at their shed in Macalister Street, Murgon (the shed next to the former Murgon Railway Station) today. The Men's Shed meets every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday to work on projects and new members are always welcome.
Wondai Parkrun
The Wondai parkrun group will be holding their weekly 5km timed runs at Coronation Park in Wondai at 7:00am this morning. Runners follow a course along the South Burnett Rail Trail and the parkrun group is free to join. Proston Parkrun
The Proston parkrun group will be holding its weekly 5km timed walk/run at Railway Park in Rodney Street, Proston at 7:00am this morning. Runners follow a course along the former railway line and the parkrun group is free to join. Yarraman Markets
The Yarraman Progress Association's Yarraman Markets will be held on the vacant block at the corner of the D'Aguilar and New England Highways (ie opposite Bendigo Bank) in Yarraman from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon today. The markets feature trash and treasure stalls, car boot sellers, local produce and hand-made goods, as well as food stalls, and are held weekly. Wholehearted - Kingaroy

Resin Art Workshop - Wondai
Resin artist Olga Hemberg will be running a two-hour, hands-on resin art workshop at The Studio next to the Wondai Regional Art Gallery in Haly Street, Wondai from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon, preparing round wooden items such as platters and serving boards.
