Reclaim The Night - Kingaroy

The annual Reclaim The Night rally will be held in Kingaroy tonight as part of Sexual Violence Awareness Month. Participants should gather at the Kingaroy Town Hall Forecourt in Glendon Street at 5:00pm for a barbecue. There'll also be an information stall, artworks, live music by Misfitz, video presentations and a discussion panel with Queensland Police, and this will be followed by a march around the footpaths of the Kingaroy CBD at about 7:30pm led by the SMCC Drum Line. The rally is hosted by the South Burnett Sexual Assault Action Group and everyone is welcome.

Sue & Geoff's Country Music Campout - Wooroolin

The first day of the inaugural 3-day "Country Music Campout" will be held at Wooroolin Hall on the Bunya Highway at Wooroolin from 8:30am until late tonight. The event features non-stop walk-up artists and bush poets, coupled with a big dance tomorrow night and a Finale Concert on Saturday night, and admission is just $10 per day or $25 for a full three-day pass. Tea and coffee will be available in the Hall and takeaways and meals are available at the nearby Butcher's Cafe and Grand Hotel. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy

The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
