Tickets are $100 per head or $900 for a table of 10, and they can be obtained at the temporary Kingaroy Police Station in Kingaroy's Artie Kerr Building (just next to the Department of Transport offices) from March 1 until sold out.
Saturday Rugby League - Nanango
Nanango will be having a big day of rugby league action at Fred Kassulke Oval on the D'Aguilar Highway just south of the CBD today. The Stags are flying high in this year's rugby league competition, and today the club has invited back all players, supporters and everybody else who was associated with the club when the Stags last won the Premiership in 2000. And they'll have a full day of league action too. Games will kick off with U6s and U8s Stags playing the Mustangs at 9:00am, followed by both sides' U9s teams at 10:00am, then the U10s at 11:00am and the U12s at noon. After this, for a complete change of pace, Kingaroy's U14s will play Chinchilla White at 1:00pm, and then the Stags U14s will play Chinchilla Green at 2:00pm. But the real action of the day will ocur at 3:00pm when the A-grade Stags play the Murgon Mustangs for competition points. A bar and canteen will be operating in the grounds all day, and spectators are most welcome!
My Chappy Day - Kingaroy
McDonald's Kingaroy at the corner of Youngman and Haly Streets will be holding their annual My Chappy Day from 11:00am this morning to help raise funds for chaplaincy programs at Kingaroy State School, Taabinga State School and Kingaroy High School, donating a portion all sales towards the chaplaincy programs.
Saturday Soccer - Nanango and Kingaroy
After a pause for last week's break President's Cup matches, the 2016 South Burnett Football League competition will resume for its seventh round at Nanango and Kingaroy today. In Nanango, Nanango's Panthers will play Barambah in 2nd Division at 12:30pm; Women's Division at 2:00pm; and 1st Division at 3:15pm at the Nanango Soccer Grounds in Burnett Street. And in Kingaroy, Wests will play Gunners in 2nd Division at 2:00pm, Women's Division at 3:30pm and 1st Division at 5:00pm. The Buffet features all your favourite hot and cold seafoods fresh from the trawlers, as well as non-seafood dishes, desserts, tea and coffee. Cost is $40 per head (BYO) and since these dinners are nearly always a sell-out, bookings are essential if you want to be sure of a seat: (07) 4168-5744

Saturday AFL - Kingaroy
After playing away games over the last two weeks, the South Burnett Saints will be returning to Lyle Vidler Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy at 2:50pm today to play University Cougars in Round 6 of this year's Darling Downs AFL competition. The Saints suffered a rare loss at the hands of 2015 Division 1 premiers Coolaroo in Warwick last weekend, so they'll be keen to return to their winning ways, as well as put on a great show for their home town fans. The match between the two sides promises to be a very interesting one, and a bar and canteen will be operating too. Spectators and supporters are most welcome!
