RACQ Southern Queensland Tourism Industry Conference - Kingaroy
The first day of the two-day RACQ Southern Queensland Tourism Industry Conference will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy today. The annual conference - which is being held in the South Burnett for the first time - is an important event in the regional tourism calendar and will draw delegates from all over southern Queensland. Guest speakers at this year's conference will focus on the importance of using the Internet for tourism marketing, and share tips and strategies about how tourism operators can use the Net to build their businesses. Kumbia Kindergarten Come And Play Day
The Kumbia Kindergarten in Gordon Street, Kumbia will be holding a "Come And Play Day" from 10:00am until noon this morning. The day will give children aged 3 to 5 years a chance to experience being a Kumbia Kindy Kid first-hand, and there'll also be a shared morning tea for children and parents. The group currently has three sections in operation: Joeys (for children aged 6 to 8 years); Cubs (8-11 years); and Scouts (11-15 years). Danny's Diner - Kingaroy
Danny's Diner - a free community dinner - will be held at the Uniting Church Hall at the corner of Alford and Youngman streets in Kingaroy from 5:30pm to 7:00pm tonight. The dinner is an initiative of the Kingaroy District Ministry Association for the benefit of anyone who's hungry or otherwise doing it tough.
