Thursday Farmer's Markets - Kingaroy
Growing The Burnett will be holding their Mid-Week Markets in Kingaroy today. The markets feature fresh food and crafts produced exclusively in the South Burnett, and are held in O'Neill Square in Haly Street, Kingaroy between 12:00 noon and 6:30pm. Murgon Spinning, Weaving and Dyeing Group
The Murgon Spinning, Weaving & Dyeing Group will be holding a meeting at Graham House at 21 Taylor Street East in Murgon from 9:00am to 2:00pm today. The group is open to anyoe interested in learning spinning, weaving or dyeing and it meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month. More details? The Kingaroy Community Kitchen will be holding its regular Thursday morning meeting at St Mary's Hall at 15 Albert Street, Kingaroy from 9:30am to around 12:00 noon today. Comunity Kitchen members learn how to cook a variety of budget conscious home-cooked meals, then sit down together for a communal lunch afterwards to enjoy the results. St Joseph's Bingo - Murgon
St Joseph's Parish Hall in Angel Avenue, Murgon will be hosting bingo games from 7:30pm this evening. There'll be $1000 in prizes on offer as well as a canteen and lucky bingo tickets. Proceeds will go to aid St Joseph's school and community works.
Business Workshop - Kingaroy
South Burnett Directions will be hosting the last of six free weekly business workshops at Kingaroy TAFE at the corner of Geritz Road and the Bunya Highway from 5:45pm to 7:00pm tonight. Tonight's workshop topic will be human relations (ie hiring and firing staff, and keeping them happy and motivated) and an expert TAFE lecturer will be discussing the most important points about this topic that small businesses need to master. Country Music Night - Nanango
An informal Country Music Night will be held at the Uniting Church Hall in Gipps Street, Nanango at 7:30pm tonight. The get-together is open to both spectators and performers, and the $2 entry fee includes supper. Everyone is welcome!
Murgon RSL Bingo

Nanango Tourism & Development Association Meeting
The Nanango Tourism & Development Association will be holding its regular third Thursday of the month dinner meeting in the Long Hai Room at the Nanango RSL in Henry Street, Nanango at 5:00pm (meeting starts at 5:30pm). The NaTDA aims to assist, foster, instigate or manage any project that could contribute to the advancement of the communities in and around Nanango and represents the interests of the Nanango community, business and tourism operators. Murgon National Seniors Bus Trip To Darling Downs Zoo
The Murgon branch of National Seniors will be running a bus trip to the Darling Downs Zoo at Pilton today. Tickets for the all-inclusive trip are $80 per head and they cover bus transport, morning tea and lunch (the bus will leave Murgon at 6:00am and pick up along the way). Anyone aged 50 or more is most welcome to come along, meet new friends and enjoy a fun day out. Pre-bookings are essential, though, and you can obtain more details by phoning Paula on (0438) 708-885.

How To Use Technology - Kingaroy
Would you like to learn how to use computers, the Internet and hand-held devices like tablets or mobile phones? These everyday devices are now used by most people, but there are still many who either don't use them to the full, or may know how to use some of them but not all of them. The Kingaroy Library in Glendon Street are running free lessons every Thursday from 10:00am to 12:00 noon to explain how to use these new technologies. Community Police Consultative Committee 25th Birthday - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Community Police Consultative Committee will be marking its 25th birthday with a free sausage sizzle in the Kingaroy Town Hall Forecourt in Glendon Street from 10:00am to 12:00 noon today. There'll also be displays from the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service, Police, Ambulance, Rural Fire Brigades and SES, along with a demonstration by the QFES's "kitchen fire" fire-fighting abilities (which should be a lot of fun). South Burnett Toastmasters - Kingaroy
South Burnett Toastmasters will be holding a meeting in the Anzac Room of Kingaroy RSL in Markwell Street, Kingaroy at 7:00pm this evening. Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution.
