South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Rail Trail Public Consultation Meeting - Wondai
The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding a public consultation "open house" about the Kingaroy-Murgon Rail Trail on the footpath outside Wondai's IGA Supermarkret in Mackenzie Street from 9:00am to 5:00pm today. The meeting will have some photos of the rail trail as it exists now, along with artist's conceptions of how it might look when it's developed, and everyone is welcome to come along, find out more, see ideas that some other very successful rail trails in Australia and New Zealand have put into practice, and contribute their own ideas about how this project should look and what it should do for the community. Kumbia Progress Association Meeting
The Kumbia Progress Association will be holding its 2nd Thursday of the month meeting at the Kumbia QCWA Rooms in Bell Street at 7:30pm tonight, preceded by an optional dinner at the Kumbia Hotel at 6:00pm. Thursday Farmers Markets - Kingaroy
Growing The Burnett will be holding their Mid-Week Markets in Kingaroy today. The markets feature fresh food and crafts produced exclusively in the South Burnett, and are held in O'Neill Square in Haly Street, Kingaroy between 12:00 noon and 6:30pm. Yarraman Over 50s Club Meeting
The Yarraman Over 50s Club will be holding their regular second Thursday of the month meeting at Kitty Cook House in Emmett Street. Yarraman from 9:00am this morning. The Over 50s Cloub is an active social group with around 40 members and meeting days can include activities such as cards, exercises, and choir practice, as well as lunch. Star Weaving Workshop - Murgon and Kingaroy
Graham House Community Centre and Centacare Community Connections will be hosting two Star Weaving Workshops in Murgon and Kingaroy today. The first will be held at Graham House's Community Centre Hall in Pearen Street, Murgon from 9:00am to 11:00am; and the second at Centacare's Biscuit Tin at 15 Albert Street in Kingaroy (behind the church) from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Facebook Workshop - Proston
BIEDO will be holding a Facebook workshop at the Proston Community Hall in Rodney Street, Proston from 9:30am to 12:30pm this morning. The workshop will take you through the process of setting up a Facebook account and page, and teach you how to make posts. The workshop is free and cake, coffee and wi-fi will be provided, but you should bring your own laptop (a few will be available today if you don't have one). MBDA Breakfast Meeting - Murgon
The Murgon Business & Development Association will be holding a breakfast meeting from 6:30am to 8:30am this morning at Reflections Coffee Shop off Lamb Street, Murgon (just next to IGA). Arrtist Lee Porter and well-known Murgon Rotarian Sandy Hoffmann will be special guest speakers, and they'll be talking about their Dual Arts project which will be exhibited in Murgon in a few months times. The Kumbia Progress Association will be holding their monthly Community Morning Tea at 10:00am this morning at the Kumbia QCWA rooms in Bell Street. St Joseph's Bingo - Murgon
St Joseph's Parish Hall in Angel Avenue, Murgon will be hosting bingo games from 7:30pm this evening. There'll be $1000 in prizes on offer as well as a canteen and lucky bingo tickets. Proceeds will go to aid St Joseph's school and community works.
Country Music Night - Nanango
An informal Country Music Night will be held at the Uniting Church Hall in Gipps Street, Nanango at 7:30pm tonight. The get-together is open to both spectators and performers, and the $2 entry fee includes supper. Everyone is welcome!
Murgon RSL Bingo
