Valentine's Day At The Libraries
The South Burnett's libraries will be marking Valentines Day with a range of activities today. The Blackbutt Library will be offering a "date" with a book; the Kingaroy Library will be hosting a games morning for children at 10:00am; visitors to the Murgon Library today will have a chance to win a box of chocolates; the Nanango Library will host an author's talk by Danielle Wicks at 10:00am; the Proston Library will host a Library Lovers Morning Tea at 10:00am; and the Wondai Library will host a Morning Tea Library Lovers Connect at 10:30am. South Burnett Chorale AGM - Kingaroy
- The South Burnett Chorale will be holding their Annual General Meeting at the Church of Christ Hall at the corner of Haly and Burnett Streets in Kingaroy from 6:00pm to 7:00pm this evening, followed by their usual Tuesday night practice session from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The Chorale meets every Tuesday night during school terms, and right now they're rehearsing We are now rehearsing for a Cantata that will be performed in Nanango and Kingaroy over the Palm Sunday weekend. Kingaroy QCWA Craft Day
- After a break for the Festive Season, the Kingaroy branch of the QCWA will be resuming their regular Craft Days at the QCWA Rooms in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy (just next to Kingaroy RSL) from 9:00am to around 12:00 noon this morning, and you're very welcome to bring along your own craft projects (and something to share for morning tea) for just $1. Branch craft days are always social mornings and guests are welcome come along, enjoy a great morning tea and share the fun of learning a craft together, or just enjoy a natter and friendship. Craft Days are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.
Tuesday Night Indoor Bowls - Wondai
- The Wondai Indoor Bowls Club will be holding its regular Tuesday meeting at the Wondai Town Hall in Mackenzie Street, Wondai at 7:30pm this evening. Three games of 12 ends are played, lasting up to three hours, and playing fees are $3. - The Nanango Scout Club - which meets every Tuesday night during school terms - will be holding its regular weekly meeting at the Scout Den at 40 Henry Street, Nanango (just next to the police station) from 5:30pm to around 7:00pm tonight. The group currently has three sections in operation: Joeys (for children aged 6 to 8 years); Cubs (8-11 years); and Scouts (11-15 years). Danny's Diner - Kingaroy
Danny's Diner - a free community dinner - will be held at the Uniting Church Hall at the corner of Alford and Youngman streets in Kingaroy from 5:30pm to 7:00pm tonight. The dinner is an initiative of the Kingaroy District Ministry Association for the benefit of anyone who's hungry or otherwise doing it tough.
