Kingaroy RSL Bingo

Cuppa And Chat Group - Kingaroy
The Cuppa and Chat Group will be holding its weekly meeting at The Biscuit Tin behind St Mary's Church at 15 Albert Street, Kingaroy from 10:00am to around 11:00am this afternoon. As the name suggests, members enjoy a cuppa and biscuits baked in the community kitchen, and simply chat about whatever interests them. More details? Blackbutt History Talk
The Roy Emerson Museum at the end of Hart Street, Blackbutt (just opposite the Bowman Road skate park) will be hosting a local history morning from 9:30am today. Former Nanango Shire Mayor and founding father of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Reg McCallum will be giving a talk on "Days In Blackbutt", sharing his recollections about his involvement in the creation of the Blackbutt to Linville sections of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, the Pioneer Walk and his memories of the Timbertowns. The talk is free, a great $2 morning tea will be available afterwards, and the winner of the Blackbutt & District Tourism & Heritage Association's Mother's Day raffle will also be drawn. Friday Afternoon Scroungers - Nanango

Retro Karting - Nanango
The Retro Karting Queensland F100 Grand Prix will be held in the South Burnett for the first time at South Burnett Kart Hire on the D'Aguilar Highway south of Nanango's CBD today and tomorrow. Spectators are very welcome to come and watch the action trackside from 9:30am until 5:00pm both days. Food and drinks will be on sale at the canteen, and karts will be availible to hire on Sunday. 85th Annual Kingaroy Eisteddfod
The twelfth day of the 85th annual Kingaroy Eisteddfod will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy today. The Eisteddfod will be concluding the judging of Solos/Duos/Trios dance entries today, which have been running since last Friday. Spectators are very welcome.
Friday Night At The Shed - Nanango
The Shed in Little Drayton Street, Nanango (just next to the Scott Car Park) will be open from 7:30pm until late tonight for local musicians and anyone else who enjoys music to come along, bring their instruments and jam in a relaxed and informal setting (or just sit on the Shed's lounges, listen in and enjoy the wide variety of talent on offer). Art Exhibition Opening - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery in Haly Street, Kingaroy will be opening their May exhibition at 6:00pm this evening. This month the gallery is hosting a trio of exhibitions: selected works from Dorothy Pratt's private art collection; pen and ink works by Glenn Cunningham; and charcoal works by Tony Adams. Friday Night Karaoke - Wooroolin
The Grand Hotel on the Bunya Highway at Wooroolin will be hosting a karaoke night with Love2Sing from 7:00pm until late this evening. Meals will be available from 5:30pm as well. Admission is free.
Dance - Inverlaw Hall
A dance will be held at Inverlaw Hall on the Burrandowan Road (roughly 20km from Kingaroy) from 8:00pm until late this evening. Music will be supplied by John Cornelious and there'll be the usual great supper and novelties, along with a Lucky Door draw. Wesleyan Food Hampers - Nanango
Wesleyan Grace Community Food Hampers will be available at 36 Fitzroy Street, Nanango from 9:00am to 12:00 noon today. Food hampers will be available for $20.
South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:30pm today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
