Rail Trail Public Consultation Meeting - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding a public consultation "open house" about the Kingaroy-Murgon Rail Trail at Kingaroy Shoppingworld between 8:30am and 5:00pm today. The meeting will have some photos of the rail trail as it exists now, along with artist's conceptions of how it might look when it's developed, and everyone is welcome to come along, find out more, see ideas that some other very successful rail trails in Australia and New Zealand have put into practice, and contribute their own ideas about how this project should look and what it should do for the community. Note: The "open house" will also be held at the same time and venue tomorrow, and will be followed by similar meetings at Memerambi, Wooroolin and Tingoora on Wednesday; Wondai on Thursday; and Murgon on Friday. Monday Evening Bingo - Blackbutt
Bingo games will be held at Nukku Nook at the head of the Blackbutt Rail Trail in Hart Street, Blackbutt from 7:00pm this evening (eyes down at 7:30pm sharp). KCCI Meet & Greet - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be holding its latest six-weekly Meet & Greet for 2015 at Jobmatch Employment at 7 Glendon Street in Kingaroy from 5:15pm this afternoon (for a 5:30pm start). Light refreshments will be served and admission is $10 per head. There'll be several guest speakers giving short talks, as well as an update from the South Burnett Regional Council. More details? Sing Australia Meeting - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy branch of the Sing Australia singing group will be holding their regular Monday night meeting at the Uniting Church Hall in Alford Street, Kingaroy (opposite Shoppingworld) from 7:00pm to around 9:00pm this evening. The group have a welcoming, inclusive and fun approach to singing and meet every Monday except for school and public holidays. Rising Stars Playgroup - Yarraman
The Yarraman Rising Stars Playgroup will be meeting at the Yarraman State School Meeting Room between 8:45am and 11:30am this morning. Children involved in the playgroup will get to enjoy a morning of indoor and outdoor play and fun; develop pre-reading and pre-writing skills; form strong relationships with other children; and transition to school more smoothly. If you're bringing your child along, you should also bring along morning tea, a water bottle, a hat, closwed-in shoes suitable for climbing and old clothes (sunscreen will be provided).
